Something I Love About My Sister

As long as I can remember, Kelsea has been drying flowers. Her Homecoming roses hung on her bedroom door most of senior year. Now, she's drying this bouquet she bought at the Market a few weeks ago.
I love her. She makes life more beautiful.

How to Entertain Yourself While Your Husband is Away:
-get your hair done
-shop, then shop, then shop some more. and feel bad for all the guys that were drug to the mall to shop with their ladies.
-make a smoothie (soy milk, banana, strawberries, and spinach)
-watch Blazing Saddles
-invent dance moves
-sing Tito Puente songs
-call your mom



That's what my indecisive little heart needs- an ox like Mongo's.

And if life was a car ride I'd be travelling at 120mph right now.
Did you know that I think the car is the ultimate metaphor for life?
Don't laugh- it really is true.
Think about it.
You have to be in the driver seat if you want to get anywhere.
You can see where you are headed (your future), but only a fixed distance. And ANYTHING could happen at ANYTIME.
You need to be aware of what's behind you, but if you spend too much time looking in the rear-view mirror( your past) you'll crash.
You have to be a defensive driver, but you still can help traffic (the world) flow more smoothly by letting people in when you have the chance(being kind/courteous). Sometimes you get stuck. You run out of fuel.
Sometimes you want to speed. (Sometimes you NEED to speed!)
Once in awhile you want to just stop and rest.
and...the ride is much more fun when you bring others along.(sing to the radio too!)

"Love Keeps Growing"

Today I bought a card for my soon-to-be bride friend that said, "Love Keeps Growing." It was beautiful and sealed in cellophane. When I got home, I unwrapped it to write my message on what i ASSUMED was a 'blank' interior (never assume) and read:

(for you each and everyday)
I thought it might be creepy to send her that.
So I spent the afternoon re-purposing it.
I cut, pasted, re-arranged...
and it ended up cuter than before!
Ha!

Nobody messes with this toddler.
