Garage Sale + Artopia
Ok. I have 5 minutes to post about our weekend. (I've already taken 15). We are almost completely moved to the other side of Lake Washington and Erik wants to do one last load tonight. I love him. Oh, wow. I really love him.
We had a sale this weekend...it was lame. But we make 175 bucks. (That's 55 Starbucks coffees!) After sitting in the yard all day and meeting some very...interesting people...we headed down to Georgetown to have some fun.

I got my legs waxed for the first time today...and...it wasn't so bad! I even got a tiny adrenaline rush from the 2 foot sections of cloth ripping off my leg hair. Really. It wasn't bad. Until she got to the end.
Until she decided to get the "strays" around my ankles.
With tweezers.
I think it would have been less painful to have someone stick me randomly with needles.
All I could think was, "MOMMMMMYYY!!!!"
She was...very...thorough.
And by the time she finished plucking I felt I'd earned my right to a pedicure, so I marched my chubby little feet to that awkward massge chair that makes you feel like you are going to lose your breakfast on that nice Vietnamese lady painting your nails. Anybody???
Today is our 3 year anniversary, by the way! Erik's making plans for tonight! Can't wait to see him :)

Hoyt Axton was the dad in Gremlins...
This is how we spent Fathers' Day. Not kidding.
There we were in Bop Records surrounded by mohawks and b.o. I leaned over to mom and said, "Well, what do you think?"
She said, "Honey, I lived through the sixties. You can't shock me."
Meanwhile dad and Kelsea rocked out to the Beatles cover, "I want you...I want you so bad."

city lines
Last night I took a 4 hour nap after work. Then I went to bed at midnight, slept 7 hours straight, and I'm STILL tired!
But I didn't start a blog to keep you posted on my sleeping patterns.
I did start my blog to keep in touch-so if you called me last night (and everybody did! At once!) just know I wasn't even aware until 9:30. And even then-I was technically awake...but not exactly "aware".
Erik can attest to that. I nearly fell on my face while getting out of bed.

Well, it's official.
Erik and I are moving. To Japan. Just kidding. We're only going to be on the other side of Lake Washington, but there still may be a little bit of culture shock involved. Our new place is downtown Kirkland (aka suburbia) but I'm loving the beachtown vibe for the summer.
It's also extremely alluring to imagine having a driveway of our own, a vegetable garden, and a big, grassy yard. For the kids to play in. Ok, I might be getting a little ahead of myself.
I'm sad to leave the city. I'll miss the crowded streets and the smell of patchouli, running across 5 lanes of traffic on our way to Molly Moon's...
3 cheers for new beginnings! :)
