This photo was taken by my sister a couple of years ago.
Less than an hour earlier, as we were walking into a cafe in Redmond for breakfast, we noticed roofers working above us. Suddenly Mom curled up in pain and started yelling, "Pull it out! Pull it out!" The roofers had dropped this threaded nail that went all the way through her Croc flats and lodged itself into her heel. We rushed her to Urgent Care a few blocks down to get her a shot and have a doctor remove the nail.
So much for breakfast.
